    Hello All,.


    I am doing research on robotics, I have a new robotino coming soon. I want to run my algorithms in simulation first and then I will move them to Robotino.
    I did not get concrete information from any blogs or so to get started with. I have installed ROS and API2 on my Ubuntu PC, and installed Sim and VIEW2 on Windows PC
    Now my question is how to connect these two to run the simulation for mapping, I want to try gmapping using LIDAR to build map.

    I am going through ROS tutorials at the moment but I did not get enough information wrt running simulation.

    Could someone guide me how this can be done? Also, links to any blogs or other external sources to refer to whole process would be appreciated
